All Hail Queen Hannah

A few weeks ago, we were so happy to learn that one of our favorite girls was named Homecoming Queen of our local high school. And then our excitement grew even more when she stopped by our house and asked if Krews would carry the football for her in the assembly and football game! We had so much fun preparing and getting his "suit & tie, suit & tie, suit & tie"

Another aspect we were excited about is that the crown carrier was Carmela, one of my best friend Ejaye's daughter! Krews has been friends with Carmela since they were babies.

Here is a throwback picture of them:

And this is them now during the assembly. Have you ever seen a more perfect picture??? Between the look she is giving him and the straight on look he has I love it!

The "Queen's Court" was so sweet to Krews. He already adores Hannah and her two escorts were very sweet to him. A funny story is the tall blonde boy, Rivers, is actually the younger brother of one of our good friends from high school. Full circle, people!

And can we talk about how BEAUTIFUL Hannah looked as Queen??? She was absolutely stunning!!! She is always pretty even without her fancy dress though!

Krews asked me why Miss Hannah was getting married? When they kissed her, Krews and Carmela both had to watch and giggle.

Krews was a little tired during the assembly and even rested his head on the football at one point. It was really cute! He and Carmela did a great job walking just as they rehearsed! Krews even had sweet friends come to the assembly to watch him and bring him cookies...you remember Luke and Mary Juuuulia.

We went to eat dinner and rested a little while before heading to the ballgame. There was a big forecast of rain for the night and we were hoping it would hold off. It started to sprinkle when they walked onto the field, but God must have stopped the rain because it stopped long enough for Queen Hannah and her crew to take the field.

Funny sidenote...at church on Sunday I heard our preacher giving Miss Hannah's daddy a hard time for rocking the bow tie. It made me laugh really hard, but they all looked great!

Krews had more friends come watch him at the football game. They all told him they were there to watch him and Carmela, which made him smile! We had such a fun experience, but were worn out! Our soccer games were rained out on Saturday and we were thankful for the rest! All hail Queen Hannah!
